As much as I love Gr333n I have to give some criticism. The fact that they didn't tie in the Halsted St Bridge on the North East corner of the building is disappointing. Other than that I absolutely love it.

Seeing that article on 410 S Wabash reminds me about 633 S. Lasalle.

Is that out on the ground yet?

It received its full building permit awhile ago.

I noticed that the parking lot where 410 N Wabash is proposed was closed last week.

As far as other open lots, is there a current proposal for the mid-block lot next to Randolph tower?

Oh, I did a little more research and it appears there was a recent proposal for a 13 story 140' tall hotel.

Blair Kamin interviewed Lightfoot's new head of planning, Maurice Cox. Here's what he had to say about the Thompson Center:

"A “preservationist at heart,” he’s open to the idea of saving the much-maligned James R. Thompson Center and adding a high-rise that would boost its value. If Lightfoot agrees, her administration could be on a collision course with state officials who want to sell the 34-year-old Helmut Jahn-designed postmodern building to a developer, possibly for a tear-down."
