Watch tonight's score be 1-0.

For the good guys, of course.

I will say, could they not do better than large dump trucks to block access?
I think the dump truck tactic has been pretty common in many global cities since truck and vehicle attacks became a common threat of mass killings in public spaces.

With the Avalanche goalie? That is pretty optimistic.

What a dumpster fire that second period was.

Hellebuyck GA - 10
Georgiev GA - 9

Helly has been the better goalie. The Avs have been the better team.

3 very bad plays in the 2nd period (and the shot off the post) killed the Jets.

Lots of doomers coming out of the woodwork for this one but I completely agree with your statement so that's why I'm not worried.

From otherwise an absolutely unforgivable 5-10 minute stretch in the 2nd period (auto game loss mistakes), I thought the Jets played very well. The 3rd period was mainly marked by a defensive/shut-down style play by the Avs but the Jets still had very good chances and almost came back. This'll be a long series but i STILL favor the Jets.

The beginning of the 2nd period was marked by one of the BEST 4 min PKs I've ever seen the Jets do, and had Kyle Connor's post shot gone in I think we would've won the game. We got this.

Good analysis. I try not to get too caught up in the ups and down, but I had a feeling this game was going to be tough. Maybe its just my perception but it just seems to me that the last minute of every period for the Jets is the cause of province wide heart attacks! LOL!

This is why it's best of 7 series. Hopefully things go well for the Jets in Denver over the weekend and I can watch some game 5 handshakes back in Winnipeg.

I hate to state an inconvenient fact, but the Jets are 6-12, during Whiteouts since returning to Winnipeg.

Hmmmmmmm. the curse of the home playoff games? Perhaps it's just a statistical outlier? The atmoshpere in CLC is electric for the playoffs!

The Jets are actually 8-16(.333) at home since returning, which ties us for last with the Canucks in that timeframe. I'd attribute it more to having mediocre teams that were ousted early from playoffs. I mean our overall record is 18-28(.391) which is pretty similar to the home record.

I was not including the COVID year when there were no fans lol. Jets are 6-9 on the road.

The hard truth coming out of last night's game is the team desperately needs to win at least one of the next two games. If they go down 3-1 in the series even if they pull out a win back at home in game 5 it leaves the Avs in a position to win the series at home in game 6.

There is no way around it, for the Jets to win the series they need a win on the road now.

Exactly this, I dunno how somebody tries to blame the whiteout. 2015, they got swept because they weren't a good team. 2018, home and away records were almost identical. 2019, the team dropped off a cliff going into playoffs. 2023, they lost Morrissey, Scheifele and Ehlers, I think the home losses had more to do with that than the whiteout lol.

Relax.

Most first round series are split after 2 games.

I'm not sure how you read into my post as "blaming the Whiteout."
