You are right: I checked the older Infinity pictures where things looked concave, but that was actually the base I was looking at (which is curved).
The crossection of the tower itself is indeed an irregular hexagon! Never noticed that in the early drawings we saw of Infinity...

The Marina is actually quite a distance from everything else. . . it's probably like 10 or 12 miles from Deira which is the historic old-city part of Dubai. . .

The Torch. The increase in floors has stalled for some reason but cladding is still going on. Maybe there's some problem with pumping the concrete.

Not trolling, I am just serious as to who will use these buildings. The population of the city is listed at right around 1.4 million people. Are there sales figures for any of these buildings?

I think a lot of people purchase units on speculation. Property in Dubai is mainly an investment. They purchase property and hope that by the time the building is complete, they will be able to sell it for a profit.

And sometimes the second, third and fourth owners are also people just hoping to make a profit. So I am not exactly sure what percentage of people that purchase a unit in these towers hope to live in them. But some people also purchase these units to be one of multiple residences.

If there is someone here that has purchased property in Dubai, please feel free to correct me or add on to what I said.
