Nice riverwalk project vision for Anoka. I always like it when there is so much public space along the river. Something downtown Minneapolis lacks tremendously. Though they are trying to make it better.

Really nice link to developments in Brooklyn Park. Recently completed, under construction, approved and proposed. Easy to use.

Well it's been 2 days since I posted a bunch of stuff and not a nibble from anyone from within the Minneapolis area or beyond. Truly sad in it's lack of support.

I cannot believe how fast they are building the light rail line. I live in Eden Prairie and it went from 'nothing' to 'omg wow' in a few months.

With the years of planning and the train lines already in place I'm not surprised. Will be nice to get another line done in the metro. Hopefully we'll get more, one to the north and northeast. I'd love to see a line extend to Woodbury and further east to Stillwater area. I know that would be big for those of us on the other side of the St. Croix River.

Where do you think a line from there would terminate? I'm assuming Union Depot in St Paul, but not sure. I think a line from Union Depot to the airport is equally as important.

Yes at Union Depot, thus an interconnecting system throughout the metro. Also There is a planned streetcar service that is expected to run from DT St. Paul to the airport.

St. Paul streetcar
Featured snippet from the web
The streetcar would begin at St. Paul's Union Depot and largely run along West Seventh Street in St. Paul on its way to the Mall of America and the airport, sharing some of the same stations with the Green and Blue light rail lines. Streetcars resemble light rail trains but generally move alongside auto traffic.

I really hope they can get the Mille Lacs version built on this site!

MN/WI, I just wanted to say that there are definitely those of us reading your posts and other content on this thread.

I'm going to offer a suggestion that may garner a little more interest. Instead of just posting links to news articles, you may want to try posting photos and renderings or some additional visual content. People are visual creatures and many of us that use this very helpful development overview format from cities they may not be all that familiar with may not take the time to follow every link provided to read a separate news story. The guys (gals?) updating the OKC and SLC threads have this down very well even if the volume of their city's projects are less than what's found in the Twin Cities.

I come here to get the quick and dirty scoop on what's going on with development in other cities I'm interested in. The more readily available the content is, the more apt I am to look into something further if it catches my eye.

Thanks, I'll see if I can learn how to copy and paste pictures. I don't know why it has to be so complicated.

Ryan Cos. has altered its plan for an Edina project, adding eight stories to an apartment building and upping the amount of affordable housing and commercial space.

This possibly makes it 19 stories. This stretch of France is really turning into a a mile or so of high rise condos. Awesome.
