Did not see the hospital. Back up north next week. Will be visiting YK, Fort Simpson, and Hay River.

Good Luck with Simpson, the road can be scketchy at times. But the River at that point is spectacular. I am scheduled for Iqaluit Late this year. I will be lucky to get all me projects up on this years sea lift.

Try to get a load up to Dawson or the Dempster.

I believe that is the New INAC Building. And I think it is called the Gallery Building after the old Gallery Lounge that once stood there.

Very nice! Densification in Yellowknife I like that! Any other large buildings on the horizon? I feel like I already asked this recently...

I believe there was one more but that has been dropped. There is talk of another residential high rise though.

What is the ATB if you don't mind me asking? Is there any movement on the Capital Redvelopment Project for Iqaluit?

BTW, that is good news about the possibility of another residential high rise in Somba K’e Too bad though, about the office high rise being cancelled.

The Air Terminal building was awarded on Friday I believe P3. Stantec is the designer on this one.
The New Aquatic Centre is currently in design Tender will probably be this fall with Construction starting next shipping season.

After that the City Hall gets done then the Emergency Services Facility

There is a 7-8 store office block under construction now in YK. The INAC building was the only new building I knew of. I guess I should talk with my contacts in YK more.

Technological development:

If you've stumbled on Google, and read the bottom note:

Iqaluit is now viewable in Google Street View!

Whats "fuelling" all of this new development. Is it O & G or diamonds or something else?

There has been a need for quite some time for better infastructure but the slowly increasing mining development is having a small effect.
