this is official, notice how the cocoon of the east facade has stopped while the one on the west facade has started to rise, this marks the begining of the last setback and for the first time since 1974 a roof is higher than Willis

Spectacular shots NYguy. This has turned out better than I thought - the blue glass is a great contrast to the surroundings. The engineering is amazing - quite a building!

The blue appearance of the glass is just the outer protection layer. The glass is not very blue behind it

The blue is just a covering that is now beginning to come down. But the actual color of the glass will still be a great contrast to the surrounding buildings.

Cannot WAIT to see these all lit up!! I think right around sunset when they start turning on the lights will be when all these new skyscrapers will look their best! I'm guessing there'll be blue LEDs each night around those "bands", right?

No, the crown has just started. They're moving up to the 2nd floor and after that there will be 5 more floors to the roof. Then the steel parapet rises to 1,550 feet
