Looks like the Tim Horton's in ECC is going ahead, unless it's just a sign for the pedway?

Also Tim's pedway kiosk is strictly for takeout. There's nowhere to sit down, aside from the 5 tables in the pedway that are always occupied by people just loafing around.

Lots of denials re: Macy's and Nordstrom hitting the local media.
Macy's reiterated no interest in coming to Canada.
Nordstrom gave the standard "no immediate plans at this time" response.

What wasn't tweeted is that Trikon also mentioned KR podium as potential Nordstrom location.

Did Trikon tweet about this or mention it at a talk? A slip of the lip perhaps?

A Trikon rep said all that during an in-studio interview on CTV Morning Live yesterday. He even mentioned reliable sources, so he seemed very sure. Host Rob Williams even hinted at the exciting retail news the day before, so it wasn't a shoot-from-the-hip thing.

Sorry to say, but I question the reliability of the source. Trikon is a local brokerage that doesn't seem to have the same type of insider knowledge as Avison, Colliers, etc. may have considering their coverage of the North American market.

The Sobey's after the chain wide lower prices push was pretty competitive, or at least not obviously out of line, most chains, Superstore and the like excepted.

Hey Edmonton, what would be your closest equivalent to Urban Fare or Whole Foods?
