A little stat for Leafs fan who overrate their prospect much more than we do.

Nazem Kadri (7th overall pick in 2009): 6 pts in 19 games
Louis Leblanc (18th overall pick in 2009): 7 pts in 18 games

I still remember theman23 telling us how Jerry D'Amigo was a better prospect than Leblanc.

Anyway really impressed by Leblanc so far. He is such a smart hockey player and his defensive play is impeccable (+4, 2 giveaways, 9 takeaways). However, he needs to add some weight this summer because he's only 6'0 and 178 lbs.

Our last drafts look pretty good, now it's just time to keep those prospects instead of trading them.

^ theman23 hasn't signed on to SSP since Nov 4, 2011. Which means he likely signed up with another username, after being embarrassed somewhere on SSP

Pretty Hard for Kadri to get any playing time when we have the best line in the league, and our second line is pretty good too.

He's only 20 years old. - Just hope the Leafs don't trade him, and then he comes back scoring 3 or 4 goals on us each time he comes to Toronto.

That would suck.

Probably just has less time to play with you guys, now that he can occupy himself with a team that might actually do very well this year.

Well, that's what I'm thinking anyways.

Leblanc plays 10:15 min per game while Kadri plays 14:05 min.

Anyway, nice to see Boston humiliated by the Sabres 6-0 (it is the first this season that a Northeast team other than Montreal beats them).

It's usually been the opposite with him - he's around early in the season when the Leaves win 4 straight, then mysteriously goes silent once they drop below .500. I've been rather shocked that he's not here trumpeting from the rooftops daily - this is by far the best Leaf team in a decade. In some respects better than they've been in several decades.

PS: Olli must have ordered a triple Big Mac yesterday. Interesting to see the player we THOUGHT we signed come out once in a while.

Man I hope Chevy trades for Selanne to play for the Jets at the dealine. All we need is a bit more offense which he can provide and the cost wouldn't be much because he is 41 years old.

I think the thing I wonder about Gomez is, why the hell is he *usually* on the PP to begin with?

Then the Flames will at least be able to lose in OT to every team they need to actually beat!

Overshadowed by Gomez's goal, was the fact that Max Pacioretty recorded his first career hat trick.

He also had 10 shots (out of the 32 we had!!!). First time this season someone has 10+ shots AND records a hatty.

Now tied for 16th place with 22 goals and is 4th with 21 ES goals. Only Stamkos, Kessel and Malkin have more ES goals than him. He's now on pace for 35 goals.

So glad the team didn't listen to the fans/medias that wanted Esposito, Cherepanov (RIP) or Backlund in the 2007 draft.

BTW- I will repeat this... Erik Cole is a BEAST!!! He and Ovechkin are the only players in the NHL with 40+ pts and 130+ hits. Deserves every single penny of his contract.

Calgary - your coach looked quite impressed immediately after that goal last night

This was clearly the refs making up for their non-call on Perry the night before. Same squad too. Ah well, stuff happens.
