Hah, we had to sing "A place to stand" when I went to school in Toronto in the 90s. School was a lot more nationalistic when I was young, I doubt kids these days have ever even heard that song. Probably a good thing, it was cheesy as all hell anyway.
The first radio commercial that came up in my mind was that stupid "It was a rainy day in pizzaville". Ugh.
