Great set as always nick! There's so much going on at once with all these different colors it almost gives me a headache staring at the pictures, but I cant look away. I feel like Mr. Pitt from Seinfeld looking at the 3D poster. haha.

Where are you thinking? From Regatta, maybe? Those folks will also be losing their views of all the beautiful architecture that surrounds Trump. Other than that nobodys view (of trump tower specifically) is gonna be impacted that much except somebody on a boat for a few seconds.

I'm amazed GEMS 11 hasn't started yet. I'm beginning to wonder whether or not it will ever happen at this point.

Looks like they are pouring the first slab above Wacker today…

Does anyone know why they use the buckets to drop concrete where the columns are and then fill in everywhere else with the pump? Is it a different mix?

So I'm curious, it looks like floor plates of the hotel portion are being poured separately from the residential portions, hence the difference in progress. Is the plan to "tie" the two floor plates together at floor 13, where the hotel stops and the residences begin? If you look at the floor plans of the residences (again 13 and up) the eastern most core is only a stairwell, no elevators. I always knew the hotel would be physically walled off from the residences, but i just assumed the floor would be poured all at once. Can any shed any light on this process/decision?

Anyone else think it's going to look sad to have this gorgeous building sitting next door to an empty dirt lot? Gems 2 better get their shit together. It will be dissapointing if they wait for the 2020 completion of Vista to start their second project. I know I know, enrollment is down in building one, well then they need to start doing some recruiting, or sell the site to someone else.

Doesn't seem to have hurt Aqua too much.

Columns/shear walls most likely have higher concrete psi strength than the floor plates, hence the buckets at the column locations.
