There will be two-way traffic on Caroline Street South between King and Main Streets starting Friday, June 29.
The decision to change the southbound street was made back in 2001 when Hamilton’s Downtown Transportation Master Plan was approved by Hamilton city council.
Kelly Anderson, city public works, said drivers and cyclists should use caution while traveling through the area.
She said to watch for new traffic signs, pavement markings and pedestrians.
I have to say although I blasted the design of this thing for it's featureless windows and stucco, it actually looks pretty nice at ground level if you're walking by on George. I walked down on my way from Smoke's Poutine and it actually looked pretty nice. Could have done better but also could have done a lot worse.

Nice... Multi-millions of new investments of late and there are still bitter haters. Have you ever noticed a general attitude of Hamiltonians as compaired to Oakvillian's or Burlington types? There is a negative undertone to some Hamiltonian's that drive me nuts. Almost all very successful people I have met share an important trait and that is simple, old fashioned optimisim and courtesy. It's obviously hard to see a rose coloured future when you haven't discovered you need glasses.
