Novel O4W retaining walls are up and pretty heavily excavated. I wonder how much more excavation needs to occur before they start to go vertical

There's a caisson driller on site now. Looks like heavy construction is kicking off.

Did you mean the one that is already under construction "behind" Hanover? If so that is The Irby.

Holy @#$% - Echo Street Project (Upper West Side)

The project is envisioned to include 135,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, 302,000 square feet of office space, a 120-room hotel, 40 townhouses and 650 multifamily residences. That totals about 1.3 million square feet of space – nearly double what was envisioned in the land use plan.

Goddayumn! IMO, if a handful of these mixed use proposals around Bankhead, English Ave, and Knight Park get off the ground, the area may become more dense, transit accessible, and have a better street presence than Inman park and O4W... especially if the new transit projects get off the ground.

Industrial land for redevelopment east of bankhead station starting ~east of Marietta Blvd alone contains nearly 0.7 square miles that could be redeveloped all the way back down to GWCC. For reference, Midtown's core (without historic midtown) is 0.9 square miles.

Agreed. If its this development cycle, or the next, the Westside should see much brighter days ahead.

Yea, the "cray" level is high. It is crazy what's going on right now....crazy. The city is literally remaking itself right before our very eyes....
