Well that was more than impressive. Great hood: wonderful views, plenty of "country" feeling for a city dweller, solid housing (including some biguns),and even a touch of grit. It's got it all. Thanks for the fun Eg.

Great tour! Pittsburgh's topography only adds to the uniqueness of the city. It really is beautiful.

It's got it all except a corner store with long, dependable hours. And a coffee shop. And the Commodore Cafe just closed, but Mr. Bill's dive bar is still open next door with a lot of the same menu. I heard he's turning the Commodore into a sports bar.

I am amazed at all the work that has been done in Observatory Hill since these photos were taken. I moved to this neighborhood in 2014 and love it! My house is actually in one of these photos - it's the one that looks like the Bates Motel house. The outside has a fresh coat of paint on it, still with all the details highlighted.

The housing stock is solid! Love this area. I would like to see many of the run down houses sprinkled throughout get some love.
