From 5/31 The red crane is for the 285' tower. This one is still digging in the foreground.

Drove into Boston and noticed this and realized that it was probably this going up, I think its the 600 ft tower, I feel like it should have its own thread by now.., or at least be moved to the construction thread as it's clearly made a lot of progress.

That is a different tower that is part of the Prudential Center and will only rise to about 300 feet. From that angle, the upcoming Christian Science Center building would be rising behind the Prudential Tower.

Excavation for that larger tower is ongoing (and the smaller 251' tower that's part of the project is already rising) but I don't think the big one meets SSP's requirements for under construction yet. Soon, though.

I think the smaller one is 285' now. Obviously the title of this thread has been wrong for a while. Of course, if the taller one is really 699' plus mech, we don't technically know the official height on it anyway. Keeping my fingers crossed for 720'.

This could probably be moved to construction at this point.

Someone on Archboston found a construction website with information on timeline as well as photos of the project. Here is a link: http://www.1daltonconstruction.com/

Also found on Archboston (thank you user Downburst) is the following link with the FAA showing this building will have a full structural height of 755'. That would make it Boston's new 2nd tallest building!

Thanks for the shoutout, DZ!

Mods, if you may please change the title to:
BOSTON | Four Seasons Hotel and Residences | 755 / 306 FT | 61 / 26 FLOORS

It will reflect the updated figures of this exciting project. This data is from the FAA:

Taller: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external...06595300&row=2

Shorter: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external...6595555&row=14

Had a conversation with a friendly construction worker tonight. Here are the highlights:

They have in fact done a substantial amount of work on this, and have finished most of the foundation.

Should break ground within a month from now.

Once it gets going, expect it to shoot up.

Best of all, he confirmed, TALLER THAN THE PRU!!! By this time next year Boston should have a new second tallest!!!!!

Update on the Taller than the Pru bit- apparently there's going to be a 100' antenna on top of this, bringing the pinnacle height to 856'. OK, not quite as tall as the Pru's antenna at 907', but it will be pretty similar looking visually.

Lovely pic of current progress from davec @archBoston

New Renderings Show Off Interior Spaces of Boston's Tallest Residential Tower
Quote:
Known as One Dalton Street, the 740-foot, 61-storey Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences now under construction in downtown Boston is set to become the city's tallest residential tower upon completion in late 2017. Adding to the excitement already garnered by early exterior renderings and construction shots, the latest release of interior renderings by developer Carpenter & Company shows off the impressive array of materials and finishes that the luxury hotel and residence will offer.

It's really starting to move now. 10 floors poured, 11 formed, and core is up to 13. Glass is on all 3 sides.
