As a European I can't help but find the Vegas casino spectacle of faux European (or other American) cities rather bizarre - interesting as an example of crude populist postmodern aesthetics , but rather tragic when compared to the 'real' cities they are based on.

That said, I certainly appreciate the chance to see pictures of such places, which are inevitably fascinating. I believe many American cities have been spoiled by poor development and a car reliant culture, but that's certainly not a judgement on the inhabitants of such places. Nor is this opinion entirely without authority- the great American urbanist Lewis Mumford said much the same thing about American cities in the 1960s.
Posting on this site should be appreciated and though we have our personal opinions about the places others live, it is often better not to share them. Especially as you do with your own about American cities. Praise for art can go along way without judging and labeling one's city as "bizzare", "crude" or "tragic". You are truely misguided and not what this site needs! Didn't your mother ever tell you if you don't have something good to say, then don't say it at all, or is that just an American practice. Take a look at the rest of the comments on any of the photos for any of the cities, nobody is nearly as rude or crass as you are being. If you are a true example of a European, you must be the new "Ugly European" in true form. Just gross!

Damn, these are amazing! I see we got some of the same spots, although your photos are definitely more professional.

Thanks for the great comments folks. I loved the comments as much as I love this baby eating smiley that OfCourse posted.

I wish I could have bit more variety in the L.A. pics...especially more night shots and shots of broadway, but I was held back since I was visiting L.A. with family and they have no patience for my photo shooting.

Yes sir...my weapon of choice is the XT. I shoot with some pretty crappy lenses actually.....I have the 75-300 Canon 4-5.6 USM III and the Sigma 17-70 mm 2.8-4.5 lens.
