Shanghai is fantastic, but you shouldn't post others' photos unless you give them credit (and you should ask them first as well). That's not how it's done.

I'm pretty sure some of these are Urban Zombie's shots, so at least a photo credit would be in place...

Stunning nonetheless!

Absolutely amazing. I cant imagine living in a city that large. Some of those shots remind me of that City Planet out of Star Wars.

Living here in Tulsa, I look around and can see things that I can do that would make a difference. I can imagine doing something that would make an impact... But when I go to larger cities, its like everything has been done. Or the only way you could do or build something that would stand out is if your super wealthy. Its like your an ant, a nobody lost in this huuuge crowd that goes on forever. I wonder what my life would be like in a place like that, how I would change. I am someone here " big artist fish in a small pond lol", I can make a difference. Just seems interesting to ponder.

@Henry Chen:

Welcome to the forum!

I see that one picture is from www.jochenhertweck.com That is a website owned by a forumer here. Now, I dunno if you have contacted R@ptor or not, but on
SkyscraperPage you have to credit all images not taken by yourself.
And if all images are found, you have to post it in the found photos section.

Yep. The first four, plus one other are mine. Which have already been posted in this recently bumped up thread:

The Shanghai skyline is so vast and dense and filled with great architecture, it can easily be in the Top 3 world skylines, easilly beating Chicago. In some of the shots it even appears larger than the skylines of both NYC and Hong Kong.

The transformation of Shanghai is incredible. The city must be near unrecognizable to someone who lived there 20 years ago.
I've never seen many of those angles, thanks for the post.

This one from the top of the Lupu Bridge is cool - definitely not a common vantage point.

I ride my bike past this building (the Shanghai Oriental Art Centre) every day on my way to work - my school is about 2.5km off to the left side of the photograph.

Some of these photos really capture the vastness of Shanghai - it truly is epic.

Shanghai is more highrise than them, it has 4000 highrises over 400ft and counting.

And that picture muppet posted is only a fraction of the skyscraper ocean that is central Shanghai.

Shanghai is most likely the city with the most skyscrapers in the world already. The only contenders to the title would be Sao Paolo, Seoul and Beijing (and perhaps some other Chinese cities) I guess.

And today is only the beginning of course. Shanghai has more highrises under construction than perhaps the 10 largest cities of the United States combined... If not more.

True that's just a fraction (Puxi's central part) of about 1/3 - 1/4 of Shanghai Puxi "CBD" area with skyscrapers, not including Shanghai Pudong CBD area! If you change the direction to the left or right, you will see the real size of Puxi's skyscraper area. THAT WILL BE SPEECHLESS.

If you have a chance to walk in the streets of Shanghai, you will be so much astonished by how modern and magnificent Shanghai is and how physically little you are, no matter where you come from. Many huge shopping malls the size you can't imaging anywhere else, countless very very many many restaurants and nice dishes. It's a super city of power, it HAS cost the world.

I am in awe every time I see a photo thread like this from Shanghai. It is truly one of the most incredible cities in the world right now.
