AFAIK, Jean Coutu is planning on expanding into the old Mickey D's space. In particular, I think this is where their cosmetics section is supposed to go.

They are knocking out the back wall of the old McDonald's space and building on extra square footage.

Once complete the entire store layout will be re-arranged.

Corey Craig develops more than just Tim's these days. Hotels for example. See the Fairfield Inn. Interesting.

Yeah I do agree with this Corey Craig group do develop more then just fast food/drive trues... But if what they where measuring out is the size of the building it's a smallish building with drive true windows .

Otherwise they where measuring for something else...

With Starbucks expanding lately, could it be that? They have mountain road, Elmwood and Dieppe now.

Corey Craig is not the local Starbuck's franchisee.

Indeed he is

Perhaps. It's not quite as slam dunk as a new Starbucks on Mapleton, or one on west Main near the proposed events centre, but if strategically located to catch commuter traffic across the Gunningsville Bridge, it might work.......

He is the Greater Moncton franchisee for Tims, and Wendys I do believe since every time they post a job at either or, and it's local they say to send your resume to some Corey Craig group e-mail address...

Corey Craig BTW actually isn't the name of an actual person (well it is sort of), it's the name of the company that own's the Timmies and Wendy's franchises in SENB (amongst other businesses).

Pinewood Plaza is now essentially complete.

The only confirmed tenant AFAIK is Pita Pit. The signage is up.

For a suburban retail strip mall, this building doesn't look too bad. Findlay Park is slowly filling up.

I see the Town of Riverview is considering increasing the number of bus routes in the city from two to five, but at the same time not increasing the number of busses. How will this work? I presume either frequency or hours of operation will suffer........

Not all routes will operate throughout the day. Some would only run during peak hours. And not every route will cross the river, so if you are travelling from one end of town to the other you don't have to cross over to Moncton and change buses on Main Street.

"The new proposal by Codiac Transpo will offer five routes and require an investment of approximately $100,000 to cover new hours of operations and the addition of a shuttle service."

Is it just me that see's the Hillsborough Route as a good Idea but the Combo route as just a rehash of Existing route 81 with a few changes like direction, and the fact they cut out a few streets. Not really a new route.

I noticed this weekend that the lot to the east of Pinewood Plaza in Findlay Park is starting to be cleared. Not sure if that's part of the apartment complex expansion or something else.

As a side note, the Pita Pit in Pinewood Plaza is super busy at noon times with all the students from the high school plus others. I was in the parking lot waiting for the wife and noticed at least twenty potential customers coming up to the doors and turning around because the place was full.

I noticed a "For Sale or Lease" sign on Campbell's Auto used car lot.

Where will I get my folksy sayings now?
