Thought I would post upcoming events at The Centre at Casino NB in Moncton:

- Charley Pride (June 21st)
- R5 (July 1st)
- Mariana's Trench (July 11th)
- Boston (July 12th)
- Air Supply (July 17th)
- Skid Row (July 24th)
- Weird Al Jankovic (July 25th)
- Count's 77 (Sept.12th)
- Melissa Etheridge (Sept. 24th)
- Alice Cooper (Oct. 22nd)
- Whoopie Goldberg (Oct. 24th)
- Travis Tritt (Oct. 30th)
- Three Days Grace (Nov. 7th)
- Lorrie Morgan (Nov. 27th)
- Roger Hodgson (Dec. 11th)

Pretty busy schedule already, but they are always adding dates so I'm sure there will be other shows at the casino this year as well.

It's concert day in NL, with both Salmon Festival and the inaugural Confederation Hill Music Festival underway. A very poor weather day for both concerts, with temperatures in the low teens with chilly winds, and wet drizzly weather.

Blue Rodeo either couldn't make it, or their equipment couldn't make it, as they just announced they won't be able to play (YYT was pretty much shut down this morning due to a combo of fog and the main runway being shut down for repair)

So far it seems that Confed. Hill is a huge success, with large crowds, whereas Salmon Fest was looking like it might be in trouble (again). We won't know until tomorrow as to how well Salmon Festival turns out today.

Serena Ryder tapped for 2nd Quietest. Concert. Ever.
2nd edition of unique outdoor showcase set for Fundy National Park
CBC News Posted: Jul 22, 2015 7:00 AM ET|
Last Updated: Jul 22, 2015 7:00 AM ET

Singer-songwriter Serena Ryder will rock Fundy National Park for a second edition of the unusual musical event dubbed Quietest. Concert. Ever.

The Stompa singer will headline the sophomore edition of the unique outdoor concert series, a collaboration between the multiple Juno-winner, Parks Canada, Sennheiser Audio and CBCMusic.ca

Tickets for the August 29 show are free, but can only be won through contests and giveaways held by Parks Canada.

Ryder will perform on the ocean floor at low tide inside the coastal park – located near Alma, N.B. – with her performance beamed to the audience via wireless headphone technology.

Ryder recently unveiled her tune Together We Are One, the official anthem of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. She is also set to perform at the closing ceremonies.

Vancouver rock troupe Hedley performed at the inaugural Quietest. Concert. Ever. in Banff National Park in 2013.

Well, the concert was held. Here's the link to the CBC article:

Personally, I think this was a brilliant idea. The weather would have been perfect for the concert too. I would have loved to have been there.........

I wonder what they would have done had it rained?
Very small crowd. I know it was intended to be that way, but gee that was a pretty exclusive show. I bet those that got in loved every minute.

Picking up my AC/DC tickets this morning. Whee!

I was there and loved it. Serena Ryder put on a great show. It was also the best organized event i've ever been too. Not a single glitch in getting to the site and coming back.

The Parks Canada staff where saying that 1000 people was in attendance but it didn't look to be that many on the beach.

It was a great sbow, well run from what I could see but sadly marred when a young lady was hit by a car at the end while crossing the TCH.

Aussie Rockers Leave Moncton "Thunderstruck" After High Energy Performance
Posted on Sunday, September 6, 2015 07:48 AM
91.9 FM The Bend

Around 50,000 fans were left thunderstruck after a top notch show by Aussie rockers AC/DC last night.

The Magnetic Hill Concert site was awash with tens of thousands of fans from all across Atlantic Canada, many of them wearing blinking red devil horns.

Fans went wild as the band opened the show with pyrotechnics on their massive stage, and the first hit off their latest album Rock Or Bust.

It then went on to be a fast paced, high energy tear through their most popular songs, including Shoot To Thrill, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells, and Back In Black.

While there was no word yet from the promoter, unofficial estimates puts the attendance figure around 50,000.

AC/DC was the first show at the Magnetic Hill concert site since 2012.

here's a Youtube video (shot with a cellphone) of a portion of the concert. The audio sucks, but the video is pretty good.

50,000 for ACDC is pretty good. What were the attendances for the past concerts on the hill?

I think AC/DC got 70,000 the last time they played the Hill. The Stones and U2 got 75-80,000.

I believe the promoters were happy with 50,000. They didn't expect the same crowd this time around.

I paid my way the first time around at AC/DC, however this year, I decided not to pay the $140+ ticket price.

Instead, I was biking around the hill enjoying the show from there. I was back home in downtown within 15 minutes after the fireworks were done.

My brother and i considered going but the ticket price was too high. Many of us in Atlantic Canada are hurting financially although i would pay that price and did pay it twice to see the Stones.
