If they put those along the strathcona county side of the henday they would have to change the name to..."deer foot trail"

I was wondering (maybe someone had the answer)....

Was a multi-use trail ever considered to accompany the ring road? I was envisioning a beefed up version which would allow/ encourage long distance bike training along with regular multi use. Maybe a side by side (hi speed/low speed) and cross country grooming in the winter?

I'm sure the costs at this point would be prohibitive, but I'm curious if the discussions ever occurred?

I should clarify that it assists in completing a system of trails.

Anticipation of the two interchanges south of the river, 130 Ave. and the more major Yellowhead Trail interchange. Starting an extra exit lane earlier allows more time and distance for traffic weaving.
