BTW, what happened to the idea of lighting the cal epa building on the top; i swear that was in the orginal design, and when the hell are they going to light ziggurnat. I'm glad you are in town making a splash, we need more like you! Please dont go back to nyc although im sure its tempting; im getting the itch for another visit.

The city council really pushed Mansard roofs back in the 80's...

They were trying to play off the historical significance of the Cal West (The "Citizen Hotel") and the Elks Building..

In fact the first proposal for the Riverfront Embassy Suites had a Mansard roof......

I like the latests desing for the CG.

I just wonder how much influence the California Medical Assoicaiton will have at seeing it thorugh to construction???

It does look really good in color. Hopefully this will go before the DRB in a couple months.

What's going on with this tower... now that "The Towers" project croaked, this is Sacramento's biggest hope for a signature tower.

Thanks!

It's been put on hold. Not surprising though given the current conditions.

THE TOWERS ARE NOT CANCELLED! Quit saying stuff like that. There will be an announcement when it is officially cancelled. SOMETHING is going to happen there. There are already hundreds of piles driven in the ground. It's a matter of financing. Nothing has been released lately. That doesn't mean it's cancelled.

Hope this one gets built. Should top off the city's skyline nicely.

The EIR schedule is on hold at this time. The applicant is required to
pay additional fees for the environmental document preparation before it
can move forward. The traffic study is done though

This is actually the first that I hear about such a project. Looks stunning in my opinion, almost as tall as the Bank of America Tower here in SF. I like the design as well. I hope they add this as it would make for a nice pinnacle in the Sacramento skyline. Too bad they have not added the extra height to take it to 1000', but even so, great proposal!

I like this building, but it looks a bit cheap. Hopefully after it's completed it will prove me wrong.

Cool. Had no idea they were pushing for that much height. That's fantastic. Right now that would be the tallest in Cali outside of LA...
