Wow, that looks like a great development for Erie. Hopefully it's a catalyst for further investment and growth.

There's also another hotel downtown at the convention center that is to be announced in Jan.
A statement has been released that the 2 Harbor Place hotels will not affect
the one on Sassafras Pier.
That's 3 new downtown hotels in the works along with the recently reopened
(Nov 2013) $42M upgrade to the Erie Insurance Arena.

Very impressive and ambitious project. I hope they can pull it off. It would be quite a tribute to Erie to have a feather in its cap like this.

A very positive development for the city of Erie. It's of nice scale & workable economically. This project should generate more development in the downtown area. Wish this project the best!

Two Hotels are currently under construction, one on Oliver Rd and the other
on Perry hi-way across from the Casino.
Also slated to start this summer another hotel in the Millcreek Mall area

Cnty Council Just approved to night another hotel connected to Convention
Center. A Marriot will anchor the west side on Sassafras Pier and on the east
connected by raised 70ft bridge-walkway is the Sheraton.
Also still in the mix are double hotels at Harbor Place 1/4 mile away.

Been a while.
Update on 2 downtown hotels.
The Marriot is under construction adjacent to the ECCC (Erie County Convention Center) another on the W Bayfront Parkway across from the
Liberty Park's Burger King amphitheater.
