^ I expect there'd be floorplans for the event space and at least an exemplar plan for the hotel room floors. I'm fairly sure that we saw such things for the Four Seasons atop CTC.

Video was taken from my desk. I do frequently get distracted when it passes by like that.

I'd have to draw the blinds. Too interesting for a construction nerd.

My view of the "Private gated garden featuring a cascading waterfall and flower garden offering an oasis for peaceful relaxation" is now partially obstructed. I'm thinking of forming a NIMBY association and trying to halt this project to preserve the status quo. Anyone care to join? There will be lots of meetings and no coffee or donuts.

I just don't get why the city of Philadelphia cram skyscrapers together instead of spreading them out to make the skyline look bigger. Why?

^ A little something called "private property," perhaps? Cities don't dictate where buildings go, property owners do.

Plus, with all of the offices nearby, this is an optimal location for a hotel. The Convention Center's also pretty close.

Probably because cities aren't designed based on what would look good on a postcard.

I'm wondering if today is the day someone next door at Residences at the Ritz looked down and saw the reality of what was approaching. So many H and A units on the market in that building! (The ones that face out the back)

They should have listed when this was still a parking lot!

This is really started to have a street presence. I knew it would and was excited for it, but walking by now, it's hitting me again how much of an impact it's going to have.
