Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I didn't know that my museum trip would use my entire day. I didn't have an opportunity to get to the World Trade Center. I will when I have the time.

If you mean the scallops where the beams connect to the columns, they let the beams bend a little at that point. You don't want too rigid a connection or the loads would be too high there. Making sure the skeleton can flex the right amount where needed is a big part of designing these suckers.

I'd rather see 4 wtc top out first just so 1 wtc can keep dominating it more after that

Wouldn't it dominate by height alone anyway?

Doesn't the facade also seem to add extra height to the tower,or at least in a sense that the tower is continuous.

That's why I can't wait to see the tower embodied with its beautiful facade.I just hope they begin the installation process once again on the 16th of this month like Alan said.

I have been viewing this forum for a while, but haven't been able to contribute since I live here in Miami. Everyone takes incredible pictures here, but NewYorkSkyline117 i really love your distant shots, they are the farthest I've ever seen and it's a very impressive angle. Totally different perspective is amazing
