Tokyo - 3 times a charm - Days 7-10

To round out or trip we headed back to Shinjuku to explore the city a little more, continue our attempt to rid the world’s oceans of seafood and ensure that the Sapporo Factory remains in business.

Golden Gai – 100 small bars or so, all very unique.

Tsukuji

Ginza to hit UniQlo

Shabu Shabu with some Wagu

Aw

Rest time

Focus strongly on the song selection

We gotta hit an arcade

Lobot Lestaulant

Home sweet home

What a way to go out!

Until next time Japan.

Coldrsx meant Tsukiji, the massive fish market open to the public. It's a hell of a sight - this is where the $5,000, 600 lb fish they catch on Wicked Tuna get flipped for $20,000 every single morning of the year.

Great pics again! Did you think 7 days in Tokyo was enough, too much or exactly the right amount of days to spend in Tokyo?

I have been 3 times now, once for 5 days (3 and 2 split), once for 2 days and once for 6 days (3 and 3). Since most people fly in and out of Tokyo, I recommend doing 2-3 days there at the beginning to get settled, recover from flight, get to know how to do things in Japan (subway, trains, food, ordering etc.) and then head off to places like Sendai, Nagano, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka for 2 days each and then return for your last 2 days in Tokyo again.

You really need about 3-4 days to hit most things, after that you can go deeper and more local.

Thanks for your answer, Coldsrsx! I usually like to stay for 7-10 in cities as big as Tokyo or NY to prevent stressing around, to do daytrips and be able to see other places then just the most touristic ones.
