I should also note that everything from the plane ticket ticket, to the hotel room, were significantly cheaper. The smaller crowds, and lack of lines , were all a benefit ( after New Years January visit).

This is one of the places that didn't allow pictures (Teatro La Fenice) , but it was clear why when we got further inside - they were practicing. It was amazing inside. The details in the architecture were intense.

Like a painting that is real life. Venice itself is so enchanting, but I was a little disappointed with how tourist-oriented it was. Oh well, I guess I was part of the problem. Amazing city regardless!
