Flames are done, they may win tonight, but then they're facing their 30th consecutive loss in Anaheim, and they can't seem to overcome that.

Good luck Flames and Leafs tonight. I hope you can break the curse. Roast those ducks.

Good God! WTF Oilers?!

As I was sitting in one of my favourite neightbourhood bars last night, I swear I heard an Oilers fan try to chant "bring on six!" as the Oilers were down 5-0 at the time. He only chanted it twice before being told by one of the staff to shut up or something.

Come on Flames, time to start a new streak. A not-losing to Anaheim any more streak.

I'll drink to that! If only to numb the pain.

Is it drinking game night?

Flames go offside on a sure scoring opportunity - have a sip
Flames take a dumb penalty - chug a beer
Anaheim scores - flaming sambuca!
Flames score on themselves - just drink the case

The League allows a goal for the Ducks that contravenes all rules - Kick in the Balls

The League disallows an obvious goal for the Flames - Rusty nail

Corey Perry interferes with the goalie or has a rebound off his own shot bounce off his head and into the net - Paralyzer

Getzlaf's stupid face - down a six pack

Kesler delays game with no actual consequence - Bottle of wine

The Flames lose a 3 goal lead - heroin

Not at all...

I fucking HATE the Ducks! Team of goons with horseshoes up their asses that shit rainbows as far as the refs are concerned.

Continuing in this vein I was trying to remember a time where the Flames had a review go their way in the post season. I can't think of one. Going straight back to '04 when the League finally decided to implement video review after costing us the cup.

I feel the same way. I wanted the Ducks in the first round, figured this was a hell of a time to get this monkey off our back, and beating them would give them the confidence needed to go deep. I didn't expect the controversy though, the ducks high stick goal and our disallowed goal was the turning point in both games.

It never fails against them. If they beat us cleanly like Chicago or someone else I wouldn't be nearly as bitter. It's just always shit like that they get away with to beat us. It's infuriating.

Such a frustrating Leafs game to watch. The potential is so clearly there, but the lack of experience shows itself in the inability to start strong and the glaring errors from lapses in judgement.

I don't think I've ever sworn as loud in my condo as I did after that play by Brown that led to the last goal.

Thumbs down

All brooms are now sold out in Calgary Alberta!!

But seriously in the end the Flames season was not much better than Vancouver's or Winnipeg's (no name draft pick for Calgary)

And the first casualty of the 2017 playoffs is the Calgary Flames.

15 teams left (11 US, 4 Canadian).

Yeah, that was a brutal chain of events to give the puck away to one of Washington's most dangerous players.

To their credit - the Leafs still pressed on and got that goal back, but just ran out of time to get the equalizer. They were really dominating for the last 3 minutes of the game with the goalie out. Despite the brutal start, they clawed back to within a goal.

I'm sure most Leaf fans would have taken a 2-2 split after 4 games, had you offered that at the beginning of the series.

So sorry Calgary, damn Ducks. And that Leaf game was disappointing. I think they out played the Caps in the first 3 games (yes even game 1). Lat nights game though they din't look as sharp as they did before. The fact we are heading to game 5 is all bonus hockey to most Leaf fans this year so I'm looking forward to our best of 3 series now.

Go Bruins!

They were just off from the start of the year, I wonder if Elliott will be back.
