The Coast Meridian Overpass in Coquitlam opens today. Yesterday was the public ceremony. The weather was beautiful for the event. So here are some of my pics.

The bridge deck

Tim Horntons beside its eastern landing. (note how green the willows are already)

The Lougheed from the new bridge

The train yard turntable (I know some of you love these)

The train yard from the bridge

And the bridge itself

All pics are my own

With nearly 160,000 daily crossings, the Champlain Bridge is the busiest bridge in Canada.
You probably meant the busiest international border crossing bridge in North America.

That's not even close, like Nicko999 said Montreal's Champlain Bridge is several times busier.

Some pictures of the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge (it does looks like Metro-One's Coast Meridian Overpass)

I took them from Pont-Viau on June 23, 2010, about 3 hours after the Ottawa-Gatineau earthquake
the left side with the highrises is Laval BTW

Nope. The Champlain Bridge is Canada's busiest bridge ever and Jacques Cartier Bridge comes 2nd.

I am so sorry that my attempt at creating an artistic image should provoke such disdain and sneering cynicism as I never post my images with the thought that some small minded person will attack my art as well as the city I live in.
If it was any other place that you had slammed, people would be jumping all over you, but because it is Calgary, no one says anything.
You should probably stick to Edmonton-english since your french spelling is a fail as well it is such a lame cliché to use it is laughable.
Jealous bitch.

Much less of a surprise than your comments.

P.S. if you're going to try and make sarcastic comments in French go to Babelfish so you can get the proper spelling.

I didn't except to see Calgary (or whatever is it) bashing and people getting angry in a thread about bridges, but I must say I found it funny. I love that orange bridge!

I took these back in April. The first one's of a standard two-lane bridge over the Annapolis River. The second photo is one of the aspects I love about Maritime back-country, the one-lane bridges. This particular one is on Route 201 over the Nictaux River (a feeder of Annapolis River).

I found it surprising that some tool who contributes nothing to this thread decided to take a potshot at someone who does contribute for posting a picture of a bridge in the "Great Canadian Bridges" thread.

Why are there so many immature, insecure people on this forum who have to make themselves feel better by bashing another city? it's getting quite ridiculous.

jimby, that was a great shot.

I don't even think there's any rivalry between TO and MTL concerning bridges...

Out of curiosity,
How many bridges does Edmonton have?
How many does Calgary have?

BTW nice shots Jimby!
