Shouldn’t this building be on the north side of the Crowne Plaza in the rendering?

It is. Skybridge is north of One South, which is north of Crowne Plaza.

Is there going to be a roof lounge or resteraunt? If so is it reserved for residents or open to public? Those views will be sick. I hope the glass doesnt get changed from the drawing^^^.

It is, the view is looking East/North/East - Halsted in the foreground, the expressway not visible behind the tower.

This thing is going to look slick. Very Dubai-ish, anyone agree?

Is that a good thing?

If it turns out close to the render, than yes this would be one of my favorites of the cycle. I just hope the size looks as destinctive on the west side of the expressway as it does in that picture^^^.

There's still about 25 more floors to go.

It's going to be about 75' taller than Skybridge.

It'll be a prominent addition to the Kennedy Corridor skyline.

The West Loop definitely could use a focal point. I think a Kennedy park would do the trick. The only negative is that all the buildings facing the park were built while facing an expressway, so its mostly unsightly garage facades and alley/garage access.

I think this is going to look really good, but how does the alternating location of the spandrel glass affect the unit layouts? Has anyone seen floor plans? Curious how they resolve the location of these in the units.

Is it certain that this is opaque glass? I was thinking it just has a different reflectivity (from thin film or some such thing) and that the experience from within the unit would be mostly unaltered.

^Maybe you are correct. That would make sense, but I'm not sure how they get the energy model to work without having those be spandrel. Would definitely be best for the unit layouts if those were vision glass.
