Twisting Tower, Completed

The completed building is in the background along with the newly built art deco skyscraper to the right. The original Twisting Tower is in the foreground.

This looks very good Paul! The combination of old and new architectural styles reminds me of lower Manhattan.

Does anyone have any pics from Brickworld Fort Wayne this past weekend?

Yet another new piece to look forward to. As usual, long overdue in my opinion

Confirming the rumors that spread last month, 1x1 round tiles will be available starting in 2012! Now all I need are a few of these in white so I can improve the top of my US Bank Tower model.

I definitely think this has been a great year for new pieces and production restarts to old pieces.

Lookin' good Spencer

Surprising that this was once the tallest building in the world.

A classical building.

Skyline with the new "Brickenburg" Gate on the far right.

View of monument through Brickenburg Gate.

I like it! Also by building models of these "smaller" structures, it emphasizes the height of the supertalls by having something with which to compare.

Spencer, you have quite a microscale model collection of "WTBs" through history. While you have not built a Petronas Towers model (that's OK, IMO it did not really deserve to hold WTB at the time of its completion), it looks like you have most of the rest from the early 20th century to date. How about the Singer Building?

Going back to the Singer Building, I have eight of the eleven. The Petronas Towers and 40 Wall Street are models I definitely want to do at some point in the future. Singer will be tough. The tower is very narrow - probably a 4x4 footprint.
