Thumbs up Best New Calgary Tower

I would vote for the Bow by far stunning design and its height will make it really standout.

Don't think there's much question that the Bow is head and shoulders above the rest. I'm dying to see the finished sky gardens and the restored York hotel/cultural complex. I love the way the building has been designed to take advantage of the position of the sun and the prevailing winds. Compared to this building, the rest are just your usual boring, tall boxes.

Where did this thread come from? I think it's safe to say FCC2 is dead in the water.

Please excuse my ignorance but I can't for the life of me remember what FCC2 was, or where, or by who. Can anyone enlighten my old and tired brain?

I'm pretty sure it's on the first page of the construction thread.

FCC2 was the second tower of First Canadian Center (Bank of Montreal tower). There was an original proposal of a 64 story twin of the current tower back in the 80's, but never got build because of the crash.

A new design was proposed, and I think even made it to the Land Use stage, but that is where it has sat for a while. Not much news and it probably is not going ahead now.

Edit: Never mind, I was too slow in typing.
