Lots more disorder, petty crime and that kind of stuff in the city over the past two years. Around my building downtown we've noticed a significant increase in crime, vagrancy, IV drug use.. Edmonton has always been a rough city due to the transient nature of the workforce, proximity to some reserves that have significant social and poverty issues. The downturn in the economy has really exacerbated some of these issues. I think this is why you are seeing the muder rate spike
