Top Turtle Creek site eyed for hotel, residential and office project
Steve Brown
February 22, 2018

https://www.dallasnews.com/business/...office-project

Quote:
Developers who own a key property just north of Uptown are proposing a high-rise hotel, residential and office complex.
Quote:
The Dallas-based developer previously looked at rehabbing the old buildings into new offices.

But now Prescott plans to lure a five-star luxury hotel and also build condominiums, apartments and offices on the site near the Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel.
Quote:
Prescott intends to ask city planners for approvals to make the project about five stories taller than is currently allowed and to remove prohibitions against serving alcohol.

Really? wow. I wonder if this would be their first suburban location as most of the other skyhouses are in center cities or just outside of them.

Has anyone else heard the rumor that the McKinney/Boll Tower project has died? Word in Uptown is that the tower that was supposed to replace the Idle Rich Pub is now dead and another Irish style pub will be going back into the current building.

My understanding is a total of 7 buildings. State Farm has One, two, three, and four. CityLine Five is supposed to be next to Four and share the same parking garage similar to building two and three. They postponed Five for State Farm so I’m thinking Seven will have a different tenant.

Cabana Motor Hotel

Hello!
Does anyone know what exactly is going on behind the Cabana Hotel in Dallas?
I see there is a maybe 4-5 floor structure under construction.. I am hoping it is not a U-Storage facility..

Unfortunately it's probably not the high-rise residential tower that's planned as part of phase 2 of the Cabana's redo.

Pics from that angle don't really give a great impression of the impact of the Uptown skyline.
