As I believe Hamilton is short a few decent hotels, I rendered very roughly a new glass hotel and residence tower at the corner or bay and king. Inspired by NYCs WTC 3 building and the new Telus building downtown Toronto.

So after a long time finessing my render and adding an additional shorter tower for stores, I think what I've come up with is a good idea for that space. Also keeping with the original proposed diagram and footprint of that space, I think my concept would work.

Just for fun I've been working a design for a building to go in between the Pigott Building and Commerce Place in Hamilton. This is what I've got so far (The towers are both 80 floors):
