This is the only rendering that gets close to the street. They apparently never did any renderings more detailed than this. Sorry guys!

From the renderings at the top of the page it seems that this building is begging to have a "twin" at some point (Bankers Hall ? in Calgary).

I wasn't saying that Park Ave. in Portland was similar to Bankers Hall. Only that the profile renderings at the beginning of this thread showing the building from all sides really lent itself to being twin tower material.

I was wondering where this project was hiding. Then, today, I read a Portland Business Journal article relative to the status of this beauty.

"Construction was supposed to resume in early 2010 on Park Avenue West, the stalled office tower that has come to symbolize the real estate economy in Portland.

With the new year just a week away, it remains unclear if owner TMT Development can secure the financing it needs to complete the $150 million project at Southwest Park Avenue and Yamhill Street.

Portland-based TMT Development remains close-lipped about the building’s status..."

Is this one of the few stalled projects in Portland? When I was there it still had a decent pace of construction (Summer)...which amazed me considering all I'd heard about the American economy, even the Portland one. The MAX, north Pearl, SoWa, etc. Plus now I hear you're expanding the streetcar to the eastside next year.

Over the years, I've spent most my time at SSC because the Midwest Development threads over there are extremely active. I recently moved to Portland though and the West Coast development threads are dead as nails. I'll post updates here from now on.

Oh sure. I'm all about it! I'm a photographer so this is fun for me. I'll start some new threads on other developments and update the others. Do we even have a Portland thread on this page? I couldn't seem to find it yesterday... I'll start that too after I look again.

Still on hold, yes -- and going up a block west of Pioneer Square, behind Nordstrom. The city's economic development agency, Portland Development Commission, has a lease expiring soon and is considering moving its offices into this tower, which would be the final nudge it needs to resume construction.

I know one of the construction workers who was working on this project until it got put on hold, and he says that they should start up again in October.

What's going on with this? Is construction still stalled? Has there been a height reduction like I heard before or are they still building this to the original height as planned?
