Great pics Giallo. Wow, the building is rising fast now, and the cladding is very visible now. Interesting!

It's the first of the three big ones to receive its cladding. I bet that it'll top out first too.

What an impact on the skyline already! What's taller now, this or Burj Dubai?

I will be in Shanghai for a quick trip in July. It will be interesting to see how much it has grown since January.

The next nighttime picture is very nice, I think. It's from the xitek-forum/cityrain's thread.

The latest photos are excellent - I love the cladding, and I think this building will look fantastic when finished. Just a quick question, though - if the core is hollow as it appears to be, what will go in the centre of the core?

^Creamy filling?

I don't know, but I love the pictures.

Have they come to their senses yet and switched the top back to the circle opening instead of the rectangle?

umm...like elevators and staircases?? that's a big-ass core too. takes up most of the floor space it seems.

I'd imagine they'll install steel frames to provide bracing for the elevator shafts. Since they're not using concrete for the insides, I'd assume they're going to use a drywall enclosed shaft.
