Shows what can happen if the wind picks up at just the right moment and causes and accident.

Great to see nobody was hurt. The two workers didn't even look fazed when the initial impact occurred.

I am glad no one was hurt. It reminds me of a demo project a construction company I use to work for. A parking garage was being demo within the "L" portion of the buidling that served as the headquarters of GC for the project. While pounding the garage during the night hours, a column tipped the wrong way and went into our building.

That was a fun mess that night. Thank God I was not on that project.

Not sure, I'm guessing there will eventually be at least two- one for podium, and one for tower. I would imagine there will be more than one on the tower eventually, since even some of the mid-rises under construction in the medical district have had two cranes. Not sure what the average/protocol is for cranes.

The site looks a lot more dramatic from the highway now, with the crane installed and looming ominously over everything! A lot more noticeable that big changes are coming!

There maybe more tower cranes. The jib of the current crane appears to be long enough to cover the tower's foot print.

I just noticed this thread/project. What an attractive building you have there OKC! Almost double the height of the next tallest, great addition. I will look forward to seeing this rise.

Great addition for OKC. I have a feeling this won't be their last building over 800 ft to be built this decade either.

Is that a giant paper towel roll in the background of that last image?

Something like that... It's I.M. Pei's most noticeable work in downtown OKC, a translucent cylindrical bridge which houses a botanical garden. The Crystal Bridge.

The panels are getting old. They are going to be totally replaced this year, with a slightly different material and color, so the bridge will get a whole new look. Part of the money for this is coming from the TIF district on Devon's tower site.
