Lacking in height is not inherently bad.

Abounding in god-awful sprawl, on the other hand, especially in defiance of official plans which are notionally anti-sprawl... very bad.

Why do we even bother? Get rid of the planning process, get rid of the plans, and let anyone build any suburban crap they want - that's effectively what happens anyway, so stop the expensive charade.

Toronto CMA added way more urban land when it went from 4M to 5M than it did when it went from 5M to 6M. It's amazing the effects an increase in density can have.

If they didnt have the charade there would be more complaints for the complaints department to ignore, which would require more staff which would negate the cost savings by not making official plans that call for a halt to sprawl.

And 1overcosc, IT IS AMAZING! Adding a million people and barely expanding, something all major cities (and some smaller ones) should really learn from, and then put into action instead of paying lip service.
