We're all still around. I don't think many thought the Canucks would actually get swept...many were hoping, but actually happening......

I wouldn't be surprised if this went to 6 or 7 games. With Schneider in net the Canucks are a different team...even when they lost game three. I guess we'll wait and see.

I'm fine with the canucks winning last night. It will be a real riot watching them lose at home.

People are surprised, yet understand why LA is up 3-1 in the series. But sweeping the Canucks would've shocked the living hell out of everyone. Like, turn-the-world-upside-down kind of shocking.

The Canucks may still go out 4-1. And history shows the Canucks save the games they get eliminated for home dates...

We're all secretly worried that they'll pull off the 4th 3-0 comeback in history, and end up taking the Cup.

Except for Dustin Brown and Andy McDonald, the top 16 scorers these playoffs are all from the Pens/Flyers serie.

You know what's funny?

Weber = $2500 fine

Quenneville = $10,000 fine

Way to go, NHL. Way to go.

HAHA, Chicago pulls their goalie and score again in the last minute...it's the third time this serie the Coyotes have allowed a last minute tying goal.

Now on to overtime for the 4th straight game... something that hasn't been done in 50 years.

True, I was afraid that Weber would get a game for that, but I was shocked that it was only $2,500.

On the other hand, another epic Hawks/Coyotes game. Ready for overtime.

If Phoenix can win just one more game they'll make it to the second round for the first time ever.

If you go back to include the seasons in Winnipeg the franchise has only got past the first round twice since 1979. That has to be the worst franchise playoff record ever for a 30 year time period.

Go Yotes!

Fleury really showed up tonight!

Also, see-ya in October, Detroit.

We could see some legendary goaltending battles in the West in the second round. Quick, Halak/Elliott, Smith, and Rinne?

Congrats!!! Preds are my second team in these playoffs after the Blues so I'm thrilled they won.

Now Go Blues and Go Caps!

Who would have though that the Red Wings would be the first team out. Oh well... now 15 teams left (2 Canadian).

25 games! You could see it being 10 (which on precedent is still huge). 25 is overkill, considering how little other players have received for basically the same shit.

Sounds to me like Shanahan got tired of being slagged, and so Torres got what his own hit merited, plus all the missing suspensions that all the other guys in the NHL should have got but didn't. (Weber's $2500 / 0 games case comes to mind)

Either that, or someone finally hit the bulls eye on the Disciplinary Dartboard.

Former NHLer Jim Peplinski had a good comment on this - he said players are not gonna know what to do or how to hit now, because the rules for how things are punished seem to change daily.
