Silly question: If the mast were painted white, won't it better pick-up the various colors of light to be projected? I mean movie screens are white for a reason, right?

Well, keep in mind also that the Empire state building also received a complete LED installation with shifting color patterns, yet no secion of its mast is white.
In terms of using white only to project an image on-screen, this is, as per my limited knowledge of the subject, not quite the case. Most cinemas nowadays have black or darker-tinted screens; and the computer-based technology (i.e., Pixar) to create imagery conducive to more effective "film" projection is (I'd think) because of that.
I mean, why call any good cinematographic production a "film" in this day and age anyhow, when the word "film" refers to the celluloid used for so long? CGI is, of course, today's standard, as is--to your question--LED for exterior lighting.
So as I understand it, while painting the WTC "spantenna" a brighter color would perhaps enhance the LED display, it's not really necessary.
I could be wrong, tho.

You can message a user named sbarn for a rendering.

I don't want to post it without his permission.

Are you talking about the "New York 2020" renderings?
If so, they are absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of renderings, could someone possibly do one of the current 1 WTC design with the broadcast dishes installed? I wanna get an idea of how the current mast will look with a filled communication ring as opposed to the empty ones. Also if not too much to ask for, the current 1 WTC design with the entire complex completed.

Thanks!

And to the guy above, you do realise it's not just the renderings that need to be done- but the actual modelly, and settings for materials , and so on? It's a very complex process. People will do it in their own time. Or you could just wait until the building is done.

Obviously, you have wait the entire building to be done. Wait for a few years or so. Give some time. Right now, they have a lots thing to do. They will build a office, restroom, observation deck, concessions, elevator, stairs and etc.

Anyone have an idea of when the CTBUH will make a ruling? I'm really anxious to see what they'll decide on.

Wow! What a beautiful moon. It's gorgeous!!!

Do you have a longer zoom? What zoom is that? Is that 500 or 600mm?

What kind of your camera is that? Is that Nikon or Canon?

It's a 35X Optical Zoom on a Canon Powershot SX30IS. They don't sell this model anymore, but they do sell a newer model with an even bigger zoom. The len's don't change.
