The reason I mentioned "steel vs concrete?" was when a question was asked about when the curtain wall would be installed at "W" someone responded with some comment that the concrete had to dry, some 30 day test had to be done, or something like that, before the brackets that hold the curtain wall could be attached. Where with steel sometimes they wait for fireproofing, sometimes not.
Certainly in the case of "W" they have had plenty of time, YEARS, of pre-construction time to allow for any and all components to be ordered, checked, and stock piled, and the curtain wall is just starting to be installed, even though the concrete work is up around floor 20.
I make no claims to understanding the differences from one site to the next one, and there can be many.
