Ya, it looked like they put a fair amount of effort into making the bottom of the pit nice and flat. Logically they wouldn't bother if there was more digging, however we shall see!

They're switched over to this telescoping excavator. No crane yet.

Yay, they have reached excavation bottom. Holes are now dug for concrete pouring of crane base. Only a small amount of dirt left to be removed, this will probably be complete this week with likely crane installation to follow shortly.

I'm finding the north and south facing facades on Salt to be really problematic, it's leaving me with shades of the typical West End apartment towers aka. 'the commie blocks' and I have a feeling it's not going to be terribly well executed...

I am enjoying the massing of the crown however, let's see how this one turns out.
