More at the link I'm too lazy to cut and paste them all.
Thank you for the pictures.

They moved a lot of sand. The webcame gives you now a better view of the other half.

Last time I looked on the webcam the new crane base was lying next to the existing southeast crane. It's probably going to be for the lowrise section of phase one, similar to how Wilshire Grand has a tower crane working over their lowrise section. They still have to dig a big pit for phase two before installing any cranes over there.

Looks like they poured the main foundation slab a few days ago for the west tower where they were setting all that rebar on top of that lining slab over the last couple weeks, at the base of the left crane when viewed from the webcam.

^ On the webcam it looks like they poured because A) there's a high density of rebar and B) the low resolution on the cam makes that look like a solid mass. But they are still installing the rebar for the base of the columns and the tower core (those finally became visible in the camera yesterday), which are attached to the mat foundation and usually start to rise prior to the mat pour. I've been watching the webcam pretty religiously, and haven't seen a parade of concrete trucks, so I don't think they've poured just yet, but are getting close to it.

They covered that area in wood the other day and you can see rebar that looks like it is for future columns.

Yeah, the resolution is pretty bad on the webcam zoom. Need some better photos of the foundation, but probably difficult for a street photographer to get a good vantage point.

Is that normal to cover it with wood before pouring concrete? Seems it would be hard to pour concrete with wood in the way.

You got me there. I am still trying to figure out what the wood is for placed over the rebar that will be filled with concrete. The nearest building foundation to the web cam is better in regards to detail with the zoom.

So cement is now being poured at Tower 2. They got about 4 cement trucks hooked up with 4 more waiting. I was wondering why when I walked by at 9:30 they had the gate wide open.

I actually work at night. All my webcam views have been at night. This is actually the first time they have been there. You will note you can look at yesterdays picture and see no cement down there.

I think they started it at this time of night so they don't have to worry about traffic getting in the way of the cement trucks.

I was downtown with my son at 12pm and spoke to a construction worker. He told me several things. What looked like wood boards placed the other day was actually a mesh placed over the rebar base. This will be the 1st of 3 pours they will do and they are pouring 6,500 cubic yards of concrete today.
