I love how the mirror glass reflects the clouds. Why is it that before Cira & Comcast, mirror-glass buildings looked tacky? IBX has that post-modern detailing and in other cities, I've never really liked how their mirror-glass buildings turned out.

this glass is really crisp and flat, unlike IBX or PNC with their cheap-looking wavy glass.

from last week:

BPP / Swine, do y'all use polarizers? Looks really good (and blue).

edit: don't know if anyone mentioned it, but they are putting up the glass on the little square "top" on the north side.

They're talking about this one (tallest one on the right), but Emporis and SkyscraperPage both list it at 72 floors:

I think I am starting to finally like the Comcast Center. At first I was not sure of it, but now it is starting to grow on me. Can't wait to see it complete.

# stories that could be contained in a 975 feet high building

if i take the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, 70 stories, 220 meters to the roof, if the same floor pattern was present in a 297 meter building( comcast center) it could have 94 floors. this is a purely residential building and a commercial building would have higher floors but this shows that the hieght of the CC is comparable to many 80/90 story buildings.

Yeah, Trump World Tower is 72 stories and is a hell of an elegant building if you ask me. Trump Tower Chicago will rise to 96 floors, though.

Forgive the technical hiccups...

And, as Pinoy said, the loading dock is getting the glass treatment.

Great update vz, thanks. You know Donald Trump always adds floors to his buildings (in his mind) and then orders the elevator buttons to match. For instance he may call the 5th floor the tenth floor and go on from there.

Wow I love the feeling of this picture, everything just seems so, perfect, when the world is so far from it.

Agree. For an office tower, one floor is approx. 4 m. With that this building is equivalent to a 74 floor office tower. So hell yea !, they really stretched out floor heights. (opposite of what they did to Aqua in Chicago )

And yes, that guy was wrong about 90 floor trump tower in NYC ( he confused me with which trump tower is he talkin' about), all sources say it has 72 floors.

good lord this thing is huge!! and not that bad looking. The street level shots are very pleasing to the eye, it seems like the building works well with its surroundings.

Shucks. Thank you. I get that a lot.........

(sorry. My shame filter malfunctions sometimes).

All the photos are, well, 'superb' comes to mind, even though it is'nt a word I use much......but they are and CC is coming together quickly now---pretty stunning from most angles; I'll be jonesin' to be back in Philly soon and anxious to catch up with it all.

Thanks each and every one for the eye poppin' pics......!

looks like they started putting glass on the south side of the crown on the eastern half. you probably cant see it from the ground due to the angle, though.
