The structural steel for the expansion of the Kent Building Supplies distribution centre is going up. This is going to be an impressive expansion........

Photo from Retail Talk & Share. There is another new pad in development along Granite Drive, across the street from the new Costco. The mod over there is speculating this could be a Tim Horton's/Irving combo (like on Mapleton), but I'm not so sure.

I think it would be suicide for any gas station to go mano a mano with a Costco gas bar.

It will be interesting to see what gets developed here.........

I imagine they will start the last residence building as soon as they are finished working on the current building - so sometime later this year.

This seems to have been their modus so far. I predict the entire complex will be finished next year.

Here are a couple of updated renders and a site plan for the Harrisville Complex, soon to be constructed near the intersection of Shediac Road and Harrisville Blvd.

This is intended to be a professional centre, with medical and dental offices as well as a pharmacy and possibly a restaurant. Apparently they anticipate opening sometime in 2019.

They're relocating the Nova International Kubota dealership from Salisbury. Actually, I don't think it's the same pad.

The house in question was demolished this past weekend.

According to Retail Talk & Share, there is a new restaurant coming to this unit in this strip mall on Elmwood Drive.

The permit in the window refers to an establishment called Two Spoons, but this may actually be a second location for Spoon Sushi. Time will tell.......

The trees behind the old fire station on McLaughlin have been cut down and hauled out to the street. Odd to see a logging operation in the middle of town.

It has been sold along with the house next door, and the dry cleaning plant(Sunny Brae Dry Cleaning). So I'm wondering if there is a large project planned for the area.

Are you sure about the dry cleaning place?

A development company out of Saskatchewan, one of the principals of which is Moncton-born by the name of Arseneault or Arsenault or Arseneau, bought the old fire station some years ago. Not sure if they still own it or if they flipped it or what.

I had an uncle of mine who sold his property probably worth 125-130K for 300k. A developer wanted to build there, and could not if the house was "In the way" as they put it. So yeah if it is the same people who purchase all 3, and there is a large project plan 375K for that small lot would be peanuts to a developer.

iI don't want to lose my dry cleaner but this info makes it look like it's gonna happen.
Mr. Dollemont (the elder one, Joe Sr. perhaps?) who I believe owned it passed away only a couple of years ago. Things change.

Today they are tearing the bricks off the house that is said to be connected to this sale.

If the bricks are still in good shape they can always reuse them either for this, or something else, sell them, or recycle them.
