Whats with those small pipe looking things? They aren't in the renders...

I'm loving the cladding on this building. It's like a dark charcoal grey that looks almost beige from certain angles and the building really has a strong orange reflection in the evening sun. The glass in the windows looks like it's going to have a nice black tint to it. I'm so ready for this building to rise...

@OptimumPX;
If you're referring to those circular things, they appear to be some kind of outward ventilation apparatus that will most likely be covered with the brown grid-textured facade directly above the podium/entrance.

Guys, I think what you see is what you get here. There doesn't appear to be any mounts for more facade components. I'm just hoping that this is all temporary and will be replaced once construction resumes. I don't know if they would mount the final facade only to risk destroying it once steel, concrete, and FP starts getting installed immediately above the glass panels.

I like that last shot. It really shows a sense of scale to the whole place. Once 2 and 3 eventually go up, the memorial will really nestled in these towers I think. I can't wait until the vision is finally realized.

It already stands out from the new towers of the WTC.

Photo update from this week. Can't wait til this is done - will be the most 'physical' of any of the new towers given the prominence of the metal cladding, even with most of the cross-bracing removed.

The base is less than 2/3 the height it will be. It's going to be massive.

Great progress. Those "eye-balls" sticking out the side of the building are a little scary.

They're ventilation ducts that are used to help remove dust/smoke/etc. whilst in construction. They will be removed once the building is finally complete.

I'll assume you meant 1/3?

Look at the renders above. What's already built is more than half the final height of the base (by my count there are four more floors to go -- three if you include the core).

despite the disappointing height reduction, I am a huge fan of this building, I hope it gets off the ground really soon, sounds like it will?
