There is a skyscraper that took a long time to build. One World Trade Center.

Design changes and there were many things that was preventing it from reaching it's goal for a while.

Also I heard that there where many different underground projects that had to be completed underneath the core along with reconstruction of the subway. Thats what I heard which may be wrong

Dermot’s BAM-Area Tower to Start Rising Very Soon

I'm confused. Will this one be a slate facade or brick? The renderings are showing the same angles with different materials.

I would love to see a developer daring enough to try real brick + stainless steel and high-iron glass. It would be modern and very Brooklyn.

Well where can I sign up to live here? I haven't seen anything online about floorplans or applications otherwise I'd be right in line. If anyone has any information on that - don't hesitate to throw it my way!

I work right across the street from it and from seeing them working every day, they've had a lot of issues draining the site. They always seem to be pumping water out. It looks like that's subsided for now as they're starting to make a lot of progress lately. It's scheduled to be finished June 2013, so they've gotta start going vertical soon!

The security is now on the Flatbush side where I have been taking most of the pictures, I'll have to find a spot in my building where I can take a decent shot from now on. Made a ton of progress since last week and things are starting to move!

Thanks for the update. Didn't really notice that two story opening on the render until I saw those pictures. The side facing your building should be completed soon, I wonder how this looks from the other side.
