Very exciting game as the struggling Sens continue their dominance over the Leafs, having won 11 of their last 14 match ups. Nice to see Anderson have a solid game stopping 45 of 48 shots.

I'll say after his shitty performance the game before that. The Sens won't get very far if he continues to be so unreliable between the posts. How many of the 8 goals did he let in the game before against the Blackhawks?

It's probably next year time for the Sens anyway. Just celebrating the small victories, and the Sens recent record against the Leafs (11 wins in 14 games).

Is there a better place to post about the Canadian Olympic hockey team?
6 ex Canucks and their ex coach haha!
Plus two other guys from BC.

We could probably have a dedicated thread for the Olympics, not sure one specifically for Hockey is needed.

Started a thread...

Agreed. That's been one of the biggest issues with the Sens this year is his inconsistency. He was good in the game against the Leafs though. The Leafs had plenty of good chances.

I get this special feeling inside when Marchand scores on the Habs.

Edmonton Oilers

The league did the Oilers a favour , play Arizona then get to Vegas at 2 am at the hotel , get up in the morning and get ready to play . No time to catch "Vegas Flu " , lots of teams have been there for 1 or 2 nights and the Jets spent 3 days there before the game ! Not good if you want to get a Win !!

Just need the Oilers to play spoiler for the Flames by beating teams like Minnesota, Anaheim, SJ. Since it's pretty much a forgone conclusion they'll beat the Flames, they need to make sure they beat some other teams.

On a side note. Great road trip by the Flames Best road record in the league.

7 in a row for the Flames! looks like Gio might be out for a while after a high hit on Aho though. Didn't look intentional, but he definitely caught him on the chin...

Flames are hot, Gulutzan needs to lose his shit more often on this group. Did he not throw a fit last season before the 10 game win streak?
Too bad Jagr is on IR, safe to say he's done in the NHL?

He called them gutless and pathetic last year and they won like 12 in a row after lol.

Jagr will be done, he might try to hang around to get another shot at the playoffs, but it's a long shot it seems.

Canucks are only slightly injured now which may be why they've won two road games in a row! *baby steps

No supplementary discipline, no fine. You can't suspend a guy for having a guy basically run into him with his head down, which is pretty much what Aho did to Gio in yesterday's game. Yes, give Gio a penalty because there was some contact to the head, but it was very much not deliberate, hence no further discipline.

The Flames have been playing great hockey. This break couldn't have come at a worse time.

Happy for fans in Winnipeg, you guys have waited a long time for meaningful hockey! The Flames aren't far behind though, hopefully this bye week doesn't derail us! lol

Good thing Gio isn't a dirty player, that definitely factored into the decision not to suspend. Aho was watching the puck and Gio stood his ground, it looked quite similar to the hit on Kadri a year or two back. Gotta keep your head up!
