Vancouver's bright lights on a Winter's night

Hey all, here are some pics from about three weeks ago when we still had some snow in Vancouver. They were taken during a Christmas party I went to. Unfortunately I didn't take them (why did I forget my camera?!) but I managed to get them from somebody else who was there. Enjoy...

Cool shots. I love how the lights on the mountain look at night. Enjoyed seeing the lights from Vancouver all the way in Bellingham when I was at Western.

Van looks so icy & frigid in those pix...yikes!

Those palms planted down on the beach are supposed to take really cold temps (I've seen the same species planted in London, ATL & Delaware). Hope they're doin' OK.

^Yeah, well actually I was a Fairhaven student to boot--although I ended up getting a Western (read non-Fairhaven) degree.

Love those night shots! If you take the snow off the logs I swear Kits looks like it has white sand beaches.

Chusan Palms handle cold well, down to -15c(5f) but it's the wind that can get them. After all the storms lately all the ones I've seen around town look fine.
You can see some recent windy shots of palms in Vancouver in this thread over at SSC from Westcoast604.
