I love this city austin. The buildings are head and shoulders above ones in any other city you've ever made. I like how they all flow with one another and have facades that look realistic. I also admire the street-scape, and like the fact that it's not just side-walks, but much more.

Keep it up, I think it's your best city yet.

Thanks Dac!

The Oil and Gas building was built in 1923 as offices for, well duhh, oil and gas companies. its also a warehouse, and has first floor retail. the buildings basement was severly dameged when some gas was lit on fire in the spring of 1956. there had been alot of rain that week, and the streets were flooded,so to save the building firefighters flooded the basement. the damege was pretty expensive, but the building was saved. Oil prices skiped to 11 cents per gallon in the city afterwards

an inner city shots

the new,nameless building

Another new nameless, based of chicagos metropolitan tower, ended up looking like wrigly. its not finished just yet, almost. it also surrpassed the Chase Tower as the cities 3rd tallest.

This city is really something austin. I am truly impressed with your skill on this one. If I were you I'd abandon San Felix and make this your prime city.

Nope,San Felix will always stay. sure I get bored and do lots of things, but I always end up coming back. I couldent abandond SF unless it got to slow, thats the only thing that would stop me.

fun stuff
3,200,000 edges
870,000 faces
200,000 components and groups
and somehow I managed to cram it onto 3dwarehouse. check it out

Im fixing to break 4 million

Added some new buildings, the text at the top shifted off,but the building are still accurate.

Built in 1950,the Trinity City Central Rail Station(TCCRS) helped bring rail and transportation to the city.(the railyards themselves are outside of downtown).
Desighned in a minimilest(?) style, and originally served basic trains. as passengers began to decline it was decided to convert the part of the rail into a road.
from 1978 to 1981 a road ran through the building. half of it was used as offices and the other half was converted into a museam of transportation. in
1981,however, when he el train began its construction it was decided that the building be used to service the El. the transformation was complete in 1985.
today one half is still used as a museam, but the remaining building serves the El trains as the busiest station on the route

(more pictures later)

thanks,sorry,if forggoten how to spell.

I'm not too crazy about the train station, it seems a little unreal, maybe the windows are too large?

the windows are double tall, there to stories each.

Ive been 4 stories up in a hospis in downtown Fort Worth waiting for my aunt with cancer to die basiclly, for the last two days. being downtown was great, but otherwise yuck. she passed away last night so I havent done much lately, but did add 2(or 3,depending) new skyscrapers,a box and two new ones, being 3rd and 4th tallest. there twins.

anyway

Ero3 down 9th street.

two old school skyscrapers in 2pp

Nickel Building

Southland Bank Tower

and the main show, the Exchange CenterBased of HK's exchange plaza (more like copied,I even used floorplans from the real thing)

more later

Sorry about your aunt

but anyway... those twins on the Exchange Center are niiiiice! Nickel building is also really sweet!

IDK... i'm not really sure about the train station. on one hand i really like the big windows, but on the other i can see how they might be seen as too big. idk your city your choice
