i'd be suprised if these towers in the park give much more overall density than those 3 and 4 story walk ups. some of those buildings are pretty shanty though

Here's the site from another perspective. Still one owner holding out - doesn't seem to be any sign of him leaving.

If gasoline wasnt so darn expensive i would help the developer out. oh well.

I guess the developer can just change up their plans a bit and work around the property if Burnaby allows it...Like this.

This project is well above ground now, at least 4 or 5 floors, so i think the title should be changed to U/C.

Nice, thanks.

I guess that there's eventually a second tower planned for the site closer to the SkyTrain?

No problem, it is nice to have two decent sized towers (this one and Metro-3) to be going up over the next little while during the recession in Metro-town. Surrey may have big dreams but Metro-town is still the #2 core me thinks.

Well she is going up fast and lots of activity on the site!

Here is a pic from today,

Pic is my own!

It looks like in this depression Metrotown still has two cranes working. Maybe slow and steady will win the race again.

Cheers!

Holy crap this thing is flying up fast. I counted 4 completed floors from your last pic Metro and it's been roughly a month and half since then and now it's already at the 12th completed floor. At this rate it could top out as early as July me thinks.

went by there today and from the renders it does not appear to have a large presence but it really fills in the area and when the second tower is built they will probalbly dominate the area.
